Hot tip: These shops have items you can’t ordinarily find, so pop in even if you’re not planning to dress up for Halloween for: exciting legwear including unique socks and sexy fishnets, hard-to-find footwear like snazzy boots, unusual makeup products such as exotic lashes, themed jewelry, wigs in all colors for the fun of it.
In just about every downtown CVS and Walgreens, one can find at least a rudimentary selection of costumes and accessories that could do in a pinch, like on your way to a costume event. Check the jewelry, hair and makeup sections too for items which could enhance your costume. Don’t overlook your nails and eyelashes; there are many products especially geared toward Halloween’ers.

Get it while you can: Hit the temporary Halloween stores listed here one last time right after Halloween to get great discounts on costumes and decorations for next year. But be quick, because they’ll pack up shop and close in the bat of an eye.
